Character Information
Name: Hermione Jean Granger
Canon: Harry Potter
Canon Point: Right off the torture portion in the Malfoy Manor.
Age: 17
Gender: Female
History:
For the first eleven years of her life, Hermione Jean Granger had been under the impression that she was a normal girl. She was born from a normal(muggle) family of dentists and lived quite an average life until her eleventh birthday when she received her letter inviting her to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Immediately, she accepted and was willing to start a new life with the support of her magic-less family.

On her first train ride to Hogwarts, Hermione met two boys: a red-head with poor talent at spells called Ronald Weasley and the famous boy who lived: Harry Potter, while helping a fellow classmate find his lost pet toad. These boys would eventually become her best friends but just as everyone tended to treat her back then, they hadn't exactly held a positive bonding experience. The girl had yet to adapt and her own nature hadn't yet been understood. All three of them went through the school's orientation and sorting. Hermione was sorted into Gryffindor house because she chose that house despite the sorting hat telling her Ravenclaw would have been an excellent choice. It show's she's assertive and knows what she wants. Her acceptance by peers into the house was a slow and painful process. Many of her fellow students considered her intimidating and annoying. They called her a know-it-all solely because she really did know it all. The witch was trying to prove herself in a world she was new to. She didn't want to be left behind and so she did her best to gain as much knowledge of this new world as she could. In classes, she wanted to prove herself to her professors. She had no friends for months and, as any young teen would react, the abuse was paying a heavy toll. An unexpected event would change her luck forever.

It wasn't until an incident between a troll being let loose in the castle and her being stuck in a bathroom that finally gave her a chance for friendship. Harry and Ron realized that she wasn't present in their house when they were all told they had to go to their common rooms. Their search led them to a girls bathroom where a troll was close to killing her. With some teamwork, they defeated the troll and once the professors arrived, Hermione took the blame stating that she had wanted to test her magic. The three of them became inseparable.

Her first year ended with their first battle against Voldemort. One of their instructors, Professor Quirell, had been working with Voldemort sharing his own body with the dark lord. He was trying to get his hands on the Sorcerer's Stone in order to revive his master and give him a body of his own. Hermione and the gang had been suspicious and when no one else would listen, they broke the rules and made their way into a trapdoor guarded by a three-headed dog to save the stone. Unfortunately, they had been under the impression that their enemy was Severus Snape. Their suspicion never quite died away even after the incident.

For the following years to come, Hermione became the voice of reason and the over all planner of the many schemes the boys wanted to pull. Although the boys were very determined in their fight against evil, they lacked what Hermione had to offer: intelligence and a quick analysis of anything that could go bad in a plot. Just as shown in several portions of her life, from creating a polyjuice potions in order to sneak into another house's common room in attempts to spy on people, to solving the clues behind the chamber of secrets before being petrified on the spot and giving away enough hints for her best friends to figure it out, Hermione had gradually learned to be more open-minded and outgoing. She would do anything if she knew someone was in danger, even breaking those precious rules she lived by.

She's a strong woman with a powerful personality despite her fear of weakness and failure. She is not afraid to speak her mind or stand up for her friends. During her 7th year, she was tortured with the cruciatus curse and did not break under the pressure. Not once did she run from battle even when she was terrified and made it quite clear she was breaking. She's very clever and has outsmarted sever Death Eaters. In the last battle against Voldemort, she played an essential role in making sure no one escaped. Her most recent memories are of traveling with Harry and Ron through all of London in search of horcrux in order to defeat the Dark Lord. Unfortunately, they were trapped and sent to the Malfoy Manor by Death Eater's where in order to gain some information, Hermione was tortured. Harry and Ron eventually managed to escape and free her but, the damage was pretty much done. She appears now just fresh off the torture.

Personality:
At first impressions, Hermione might come off as a bossy know-it-all with an ego far grander than the room she's in. She will speak, determined to be the one with the correct answer, and always share an opinion when given the opportunity. Although some might find this behavior intrusive, the young witch means well. After coming from a regular(muggle) family, she feels as if she has to prove herself to the wizardry world and to the people around her. At times, this has prevented her from making friends but eventually, her other traits begin to show opening that awkward social barrier.

Caring and charismatic with the yearning to help those in need, Hermione can be the most reliable person one could ever ask for. She would never discriminate on a task or set anything aside that needs doing. Bribing her would be impossible, she holds too deep into her morals for something like that and as much as it can hurt or torment her both physically or mentally, she will not give up to get the job done. What she doesn't know she will discover, what she hasn't done yet won't stop her from trying. She gives without caring too much on receiving.

Her love of knowledge and her determination to help others has made her quite the activist when it comes to people's rights and how things are run. She is not afraid to speak her mind and she is more than capable of defending herself through concrete facts and even with a wand. She has a strong temper and if provoked, her wrath will show. All in all, she'll keep her good mannerisms in place. She's pretty much a conservative in thought but clearly liberal in most social idealism.

Although she is known to be very strict in regards to rules or protocols, she is also very capable of breaking them fully aware of consequences if she knows that something is in jeopardy or they really need it. Despite understanding how important order truly is to any situation, she's well capable of constructing chaos if it means doing the right thing. She's very open minded and won't judge anyone or anything by a single glance. In regards to people, she won't discriminate by who or what they are. Every one is a living thing and must be respected and she holds true to that philosophy. She also holds true to the ideology that with great power comes great responsibility. To those with gifts (let's say magic or social power, etc&), she believes they should be wiser in order to keep themselves from abusing what they have. She will always stand up for the weak or the defenseless and give a lecture or two to anyone who's abusing their powers.

At most times, Hermione is seen as the voice of reason, assessing every matter and situation with an unbiased mind providing every piece of logic that could be presented with it. This, at times, can make her somewhat of a damper to others but she means well. She isn't afraid of addressing people if she needs to, or telling a higher up of something suspicious that is going on. Although it might categorize Hermione as a snitch, she means well only looking for the protection of the people she cares about. She's not afraid of having her thoughts rejected understanding the symbolic meaning of freedom of speech. She doesn't expect for her opinion to be followed but she does hope it's heard and when it isn't, it's a good way to get her upset.

In regards to how strongly she feels about the things she believes in, Hermione has quite the temper when upset. Always keeping a level head most of the time, when provoked, Hermione is no stranger to anger or rage. Canonly, she has actually physically injured someone because of her strong emotions (rage, really).

Despite how 'in control' Hermione seems to come off, the girl has certainly met her shares of pain. Suffering from a rather low self-esteem brought upon years of teasing and people clearly not exactly understanding her, she might be prone to putting on a hard face but on the inside, words and actions still wound the girl. Like every teenager in her position, no one likes to be treated differently, Hermione is the same. She just knows how to hide it better than some.

Abilities Information
Fighter or Sacrifice?:
Fighter. Hermione is all about order and she is normally the decisive person of the group that always has a game plan. To be the follower instead of the leader will be quite a challenge for her, especially if the person calling the shots is someone she does not know very well. It will be a reversal of rolls that will really test her ability to adapt to another roll and to gain a little patience.

Canon abilities:
    ❦ Witchcraft
Hermione is a witch capable of both healing and destruction. Her strengths and spells come from the knowledge she has obtained through reading and experimenting. All though she considers herself a white witch, she is very knowledgeable of black magic solely because their war against Voldemort calls for at least knowing and understanding what the enemy is capable of. She will never raise her wand to kill, she is more easily prone to stunning and disarming. She is known to heal anything from fractured bones, to burned flesh.

Her spells range from defensive and offensive spells to transfiguration, along with everyday remedies in repairing or aid. She is a very skilled potions master.

    ❦ Intelligence
Hermione is very intelligent and capable of breaking most codes or solving most puzzles. Even if she doesn't necessarily understand a topic or know it, she is an incredibly fast learner and adaptable. There are very few instances in which her problem solving skills don't work for the better.

The young witch is also very fluent in different topics and more than likely has some form of information on almost everything, even if it's a little bit askew from the actual thing. Regardless, her knowledge of everything important or useless tends to be what saves the day more often than not.

    ❦ Strengths & Weakness
Hermione's strengths revolve around her strong will to do what's right. She is very strong willed and is not afraid of taking on all odds if it means doing what's right. She understands the definition of sacrifice and has performed it several times upon herself. Her friends and family and those who cannot defend themselves are her concern. No exceptions.

Hermione's weakness's revolve around her very well hidden low self-esteem that stems off from being part of a world she was not originally a part of (muggle-born in a wizarding world). Most experiences have given her foul names, pathetic rumors, and mostly trouble but she hides her discomfort well. She sometimes sees the world through merely reason and logic but forgets what effects they can have on emotions. It is also possible to care to much with Hermione. Her belief that there is still good in the world more often than not leaves her disappointed and affects her relationships with those around her.

    Day 001 || Time: approx. 1800hrs

I can't quite put my finger on it but there is something strangely familiar about this place. If I had to describe it I would call it cold, very dark, somewhat gloomy, and mildly unwelcoming- like the Forbidden Forest! Of course! By what I have discovered, this strange forest might not be so different than the one from back home. I'm not sure how I feel about that, however...

There are so many creatures here that I can't, for the life of me, recall ever reading about in a book. Some come close in features, but not quite. Once I find some parchment I will start collecting data. I'm rather excited about it. New creatures to discover-

-right. Where was I? Ah, yes.

Harry. Harry is gone. He's not here. I searched everywhere for him- and Ronald of course- and found nothing, not even a single trace that they could have been here. My magic is still functioning, there doesn't seem to be anything preventing me from using my wand but for now I will keep it to myself.

I do hope Harry is all right.

Third Person:
It was raining again for the third day in a row and Hermione had no choice but to stay cooped up inside the tent Harry and Ron were sharing with her. They were still in the wilderness waiting for Ron's wounds from that splinching incident to heal and it wasn't long before Harry began to lose his temper.

The static from that radio Ron never seemed to shut off was the only other sound aside from the pounding rain on the canvas of their tent. She hadn't moved from her seat on their make-shift dinner table that had been working as her desk for hours. Ron hadn't moved from his bed and Harry? Well, Harry had stormed off.

It had been months since the last time they heard any word from the Order or so much as talked to anyone other than t too themselves. Things were just too dangerous and Hermione knew that as the time went by and the number of horcruxes they found increased, it would be far too difficult to get some time to think like this. Time was running out, the boys depended on her and she couldn't figure out how all of this was connected together.

How can you destroy something that was created to be indestructible?

That paradox was driving the witch mad. The table was covered in layers of books she had read before but none seemed to give her an idea of what she could use. Puzzles were her forte, putting the pieces together was her charge- Dumbledore had given her everything she needed but she couldn't piece this together.

"What could it be, what could it be..." she muttered under her breath, tapping a sharp fingertip over the cover of a book. Hermione knew better than to underestimate the dark arts but could it really be this difficult? She was running out of time! Harry would appear soon, Ron would be healing in a few days, and they had no lead just a horcrux they couldn't destroy. The world was depending on them and sure enough Harry was probably feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Harry was her main concern, that boy never learned that he wasn't alone in this. Although his sacrifice had been greater, Ron and Hermione had stayed true to their word of helping him, their very blood had been shed for him. Just as Hermione cared for everyone but herself, Harry was the same. Harry merely placed all blame and pressure on himself and made Hermione far too worried about him to bother with anything else. He never did learn. Looking for anymore hints was pointless for now, she dropped her notes and got up moving to the tea pot and their open fire. She might as well make something soothing before Harry and Ron went at it again. It put her nerves on edge when they fought. They didn't need anymore misfortune's.

Anything Else? I'm excited? 8D?!
